Heavily inspired by pioneering experimental acts such as Seefeel, Bowery Electric and Fennesz, Balconys debut album Invers is a nod to their artistry in the form of guitar-based sampling and modulation.
Arranged into lengthy electronic and experimental compositions, Invers intends to dig deep. The album's namesake refers to the river mouths it was created beside in the beach towns of Wye River and Barwon Heads, where it was recorded over 6 months.
Invers attempts to capture the soft to extreme wavering sensations and interactions of our experience within a progressive, digitizing world, and the beauty and abstraction felt during.
This album is best heard loud and alone.
